We do not offer hair transplants but we take care of a lot of patients who got their hair transplant abroad or in another state.

We are happy to help you in any way and follow the post transplant instructions of your surgeon.

The recommendations for Post Hair Transplant care vary from surgeon to surgeon, but most surgeons will recommend some combination minoxidil, finasteride, and PRP 1 to 4 times in the first year after the transplant.

Minoxidil to maximize blood flow to the transplanted follicles and the whole scalp.

Finasteride to help prevent miniaturization of the follicles.

PRP to increase the number and thickness of the follicles.

After a hair transplant, the newly transplanted hair follicles can take time to adjust to their new location and begin growing hair. The use of PRP therapy may help to accelerate the healing process and increase the survival rate of the transplanted hair follicles. PRP also encourages your body to make more and thicker follicles.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a treatment that uses a patient’s own blood plasma, which is rich in growth factors, to promote healing and rejuvenation. After a hair transplant, PRP therapy can enhance the healing process, promote hair growth and improve the overall results of the transplant.

The benefits of PRP following a hair transplantation:

• Stimulating growth of your newly transplanted hair follicles
• Increasing the thickness of the hair that the follicles will grow
• Increasing the likelihood that the transplanted follicles take to the new area
• Stimulating new follicles to form and grow around the transplanted follicles
• Stimulating inactive hair follicles to enter the androgin or growth phase

PRP is critical for developing your follicles. The derived platelets responsible for growth are essential in activating stem cells to go from the dormant state to the active form, pushing your follicles to start the process of hair production.

There are 3 phases to hair growth, androgen, stabile, shedding. The androgen or growth phase lasts from 2 to 7 years. PRP has been shown in some patients to lead to a longer androgen phase. Research has shown PRP treatment can lead to an increase in the number and thickness of the hair follicles on most patients' heads. PRP does not work on every patient and there are some patients who are not candidates for PRP treatments.
