THE PROCESS

The following sequence of events briefly describes the colon irrigation procedure, also known as a colonic or colon cleanse. The tank is filled with hot and cold water controlled by a water mixing valve. The proper temperature of the water falls between 99 -103 degrees F. It uses this warm water to flush out all the waste in the patient's colon. Getting all the waste comfortably out of the patient will generally provide relief from most digestive symptoms. After the client has comfortably positioned themselves on the basin (with the pillow and cushioned backrest in place) and self-inserts the nozzle into the rectum, water flow is activated by a switch.
