Exosomes are small vesicles (30–200 nm) secreted by cells, acting as messengers that deliver proteins, lipids, nucleic acids, and growth factors to influence cell behavior. In hair restoration, they stimulate hair follicles to promote the growth of more and thicker hair follicles as well as general scalp health.

Depending on the delivery method, side effects are uncommon and usually mild, including temporary redness, swelling, or discomfort at the injection site, typically resolving within days.
