Electrolysis

Stop Being Embarrassed or Ashamed of Unwanted Hair

Lets Get Rid of It Together

"After just a few treatments, I can already see a significant difference in both the hair growth and my skin overall! I know electrolysis is a process, but it’s absolutely worth it if you want to say goodbye to unwanted hair for good. If you’re considering it, I highly recommend checking out Ageless and working with Megan. You won’t regret it! - Radhika, P"

Electrolysis is safe, effective and has been FDA approved for permanent hair removal

Electrolysis

A small wire sends a pulse of electricity into the follicle stopping it from growing hair in the future. The new electrolysis machines work great with very low levels of discomfort. It feels like a pulse of heat that is over in less than a second. It is a safe technology that can be used on all body areas, skin, and hair types.

We have 3 different hair removal lasers and well as Electrolysis options please book a free consultation to see what could work for you.

"I highly recommend checking out Ageless for anyone seeking exceptional electrolysis services! It’s one of the few places in the Charleston area that offers electrolysis, and even with an hour-long drive, it’s the best deal compared to any option in Georgetown. - Dawn, S"

Lets only have hair where you want it.

"After working with Megan for a few months, I’ve noticed a significant difference! My hairs are thinning out and growing less frequently, and I haven’t had an ingrown hair in weeks. Plus, she’s been helping me address the scarring and pigmentation from all those years of dealing with ingrowns! I can’t believe the improvement!!! - Keva, J"

Facts about Electrolysis

  • Electrolysis is permanent hair removal for everybody, regardless of skin color or hair type.
  • Electrolysis permanently destroys the hair follicle, preventing treated hairs from growing back.
  • Electrolysis treatment involves a licensed professional inserting a very fine prob (usually thinner than the hair being treated) into the opening of the hair follicle alongside the hair shaft. A tiny amount of electrical current is then applied to destroy the part of the hair follicle that grows hair.
  • Electrolysis devices can destroy the hair growth cells with chemical energy, heat energy, or both. All are effective and deliver permanent results. The three modalities in current use are Galvanic Electrolysis, Thermolysis, and the Blend.
    • Galvanic
      • A current produces a chemical reaction within the hair follicle, eliminating the hair growth cells.
    • Thermolysis
      • This modality heats and destroys the hair growth cells in the follicle. A higher intensity current can be applied for less time in the follicle, or the current can be used at a lower intensity with longer timing.
    • The Blend
      • The blend method combines galvanic current with thermolysis current. Thermolysis heats up the chemical reaction in the follicle, destroying the hair growth cells.
  • During treatment, you'll probably feel a momentary heat sensation or pinch, but you should not feel the insertion of the probe into the hair follicle, nor should you feel like the hair is being pulled out when it is removed; the hair will usually slide out of the follicle when properly treated.
  • Discomfort is minimal for most people, but individual tolerances vary greatly. Keep in mind that some areas of the body are much less sensitive than others, we do have numbing cream available if you're more on the sensitive side.

Why We offer Electrolysis

My name is Chris Steidinger, and I am one of the practice's founders. My eyesight was great until I turned 40, then suddenly, I started struggling to see things within an arm's reach without squinting, basically age-related presbyopia. So what do I do? I become a river in Egypt and pretend I do not have a problem. I get the biggest monitor possible. I put my phone to the biggest font possible because I'm not getting older, my arms just aren't long enough.

This goes on for too long, a couple of years, and everyone in my life is making fun of me. Finally, I break down, accept reality, and get the glasses. I can see again! Hooray!.... Wait, what's this I see? Is it ear hair? Why has no one told me this? To my absolute horror and disgust, I now have some black hair growing out of my ears. I want to throw up. I'm nauseous, revolted, and I need to get this taken care of immediately. Can you guess what is the only permanent hair removal solution for having a small amount of unwanted hair growing out of your ears? Yep, you guessed it, Electrolysis. I thought it was going to be really painful, and I didn't care. I needed that ear hair G-O-N-E. I was really shocked at how not painful it was and I absolutely loved the results I got. So now we offer it here. Hopefully, you find it as useful as I have, and thank you for considering us for your business. We would love the opportunity to take care of you.

What are the benefits of Electrolysis?

#1 The permanent removal of unwanted hair. Laser hair removal is considered temporary and does not work on gray and lighter-colored hair. Electrolysis is permanent and works on all hair types and all areas of your body, from your ears to your toes. Although lasers can work great for larger areas of the body, they can also be quite painful and generally only work on darker hair with lighter skin tones. All modalities have their place and uses. It depends on the patient and their goals. But Electrolysis is the only FDA-proven permanent hair removal option on the market today and works great when done correctly by trained medical professionals.

#2 Quick, convenient treatment sessions with no downtime. You can get a treatment in as little as 15 minutes or as long as an hour. You could get treated on your way to or from work. We offer appointments Monday through Friday, and we can find a time that works for you.
